General Terms & Conditions of Use

Introduction

Welcome to DingPlay ! By accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, you must stop using DingPlay immediately.

Purpose of DingPlay

DingPlay provides a platform allowing users to create or join gaming lobbies, meet other players, and access online features such as chat, presence indicators, and notifications. DingPlay does not distribute games, ROMs, emulators, copyrighted media, or any software related to game consoles or publishers.

No Affiliation

DingPlay is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher, console manufacturer, or third-party company, including but not limited to: Nintendo Co., Ltd, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft Corporation, Valve Corporation, or any other game or platform provider. All trademarks, game titles, and platform names are the property of their respective owners.

IGDB Data Attribution

DingPlay uses game metadata and images provided by the IGDB API (Internet Games Database), owned by Amazon/Twitch Interactive. Game covers, metadata, and images remain the property of their respective owners. IGDB data is used under IGDB’s API Terms of Use. We do not modify, redistribute, or host IGDB images outside the usage permitted by their service.

User Accounts

Users may be required to create an account using Firebase Authentication or other supported login methods. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

User-Generated Content

You are responsible for all content you publish inside the app, including: text messages, lobby titles, profile informations. You agree not to upload or distribute: offensive or abusive language, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, sexually explicit content, illegal content of any kind, threats or violent behavior, spam or commercial advertising, discussions, links, or encouragement of piracy, including: ROMs, illegal game downloads, cracked software, emulation intended for piracy. We may remove or restrict content at our sole discretion.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to: misuse or hack the app, impersonate other users, attempt to access restricted sections or data, reverse-engineer the app, use the app for unlawful purposes

Paid Features

Some features may require a paid subscription (ex: premium chat features, enhanced notifications). Payments are handled by Google Play Billing or supported third-party payment processors. You agree that all purchases are subject to Google Play Store Terms and Refund Policies.

Data & Privacy

DingPlay uses Firebase services, including but not limited to: Firebase Authentication, Firestore / Realtime Database, Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications), Firebase App Check. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with GDPR.

Disclaimer of Liability

We provide DingPlay “as is” with no guarantees regarding: availability, stability, accuracy, uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for: user behavior, user-generated content, interactions between users online or offline, loss of data or account access

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if: you violate these Terms, you engage in illegal activity, you disrupt DingPlay’s functioning. Termination may occur without prior notice.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of DingPlay means acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be handled by competent courts in France.

1 - Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how DingPlay (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data. By using the app, you agree to the data practices described in this Policy. We comply with: GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), French data protection laws (CNIL), and Google Play Developer Policies. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2 - Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the App’s features.

2.1 - Data you provide

Account information (email, username), Optional profile data (profile picture, display name), Messages and chat content, Lobby titles, platform selections, game selections

2.2 - Automatically collected data

Device information (model, OS version),In-app events (buttons clicked, screens viewed), Country (approximate, not precise location), App version and crash logs.We do not collect precise GPS location.

2.3 - Firebase Services

We use the following Firebase services: Firebase Authentication, Firestore / Realtime Database, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase App Check, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics (optional: disabled or anonymized according to your settings), Firebase may collect: hashed identifiers, device information, crash data. 3 - Advertising (In-App Ads)

The App displays standard, non-personalized ads suitable for a general audience.

3.1 - Ad provider

Google AdMob (Google LLC)

3.2 - Data collected for ads

AdMob may collect: device information, coarse location (region or country), ad performance metrics, identifiers for ad delivery (AAID on Android). We do not use: cookies, personalized ads based on user behavior, interest-based advertising. Users may still receive generic ads. Google AdMob privacy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

4 - How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes: To authenticate users, To operate gaming lobbies, To provide real-time chat and notifications, To prevent abuse, bots, and fraud (App Check), To improve stability and fix bugs, To deliver non-personalized ads, To comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5 - IGDB Data Attribution

The App uses the IGDB API to display game metadata and cover images. This may include: game titles, platform information, cover images. IGDB data remains the property of their respective owners. We do not track users through IGDB. More info: https://api-docs.igdb.com/

6 - Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under GDPR, we process your data under the following legal bases: Contractual necessity: account creation, chat, lobbies. Legitimate interest: security, analytics, fraud prevention. Legal obligation: data required by law enforcement. User consent: ads, notifications (if applicable)

7 - Data Sharing

We may share your data only with: Google Firebase (backend services), Google AdMob (ads), Crashlytics (error reporting). We do not share your data with: third-party advertisers, data brokers, social networks, marketing companies. We never sell personal data.

8 - International Data Transfers

Firebase and Google servers may be located outside the EU. Transfers follow: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). GDPR compliance guaranteed by Google LLC

9 - Data Retention

We keep data only as long as needed: Account data: until deleted by the user, Chat messages: until manually removed or after defined retention limits, Crash data: up to 90 days, Firebase logs: limited by Firebase policy. Users can request data deletion at any time.

10 - User Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to: Access your data, Correct your data, Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”), Export your data, Restrict or object to processing, Withdraw consent (ex: ads or notifications). To request any action, contact us at: dingplay.remsbdj@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days.

11 - Children’s Privacy

The App is designed for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child is using the App, contact us to remove the account.

12 - Security

We use: Firebase App Check, Encrypted connections (HTTPS), Secure token-based authentication, Google security infrastructure. No system is 100% safe, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

13 - Account Deletion

Users may request deletion by contacting support. Deletion removes: profile data, chats, lobbies, linked services. Some metadata may be kept if legally required.

14 - Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify users via: in-app notice, version notes. Continued use of the App means acceptance of the updated Policy.
